Jim Hickmon Again recognized in Legal Elite 2019
We are so pleased to share that Jim Hickmon has been included in the Business North Carolina Legal Elite 2013’s Trust & Estate Section. This is Jim’s seventh recognition by the Legal Elite.
The Legal Elite provides an online, statewide ballot to every lawyer in the Bar, a feature unique to the Legal Elite voting process. The write in ballot asks one question, “Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the best in these categories?” The lawyers with the most votes in each category from across the state are included in the list. Each year, a single lawyer who achieves the highest number of votes a practice category becomes a member of the Legal Elite Hall of Fame and is retired from future inclusion in the voting pool. This is the Business North Carolina Magazine has published the Legal Elite list since 2002.
Jim Hickmon is certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Board Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law and is a Certified Financial Planner®. He is recognized through peer review by Martindale Hubbell as an AV Preeminent Peer Rated Lawyer and is frequently recognized by the Business North Carolina Legal Elite. He serves as an adjunct professor of law at Wake Forest University teaching Wealth Transfer and Fiduciary Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates to upper-level law students. Jim is admitted to practice before the State Bars of North Carolina and Virginia.
